Sea Freight as A Solution
Sea transport carries about 90% of all global trade — and even more in some countries. The method of moving containerized cargo loaded onto ships by sea is known as ocean freight.
Shipments weighing more than 100kg – or containing numerous cartons – will almost always be shipped via sea freight. The containers were designed with intermodal freight transportation in mind. That means the containers can be utilized across multiple modes of transportation – from ship to rail to truck – without the payload having to be unloaded and reloaded.
Better Management Does Matters
It takes a long time to get all those containers across the sea. The exact length of time depends on a number of factors, including the destination and type of product. Before commodities reach a vessel and arrive at their destination, they must travel through a series of procedures. On either end of the procedure, you can usually add a week’s time.
And CSB Logistics can assist you in determining the best route for your shipment to arrive as quickly as possible.
